Biography
Wahoush is an Assistant Professor in the school of nursing at McMaster University, a recent graduate from Faculty of Medicine University of Toronto with a PhD in Health Policy Management & Evaluation (Outcomes measurement & evaluation stream). She has extensive experience in international settings in nursing practice and leadership, education and research. Dr Wahoush’s most recent international experience includes the opening of a new 160 bed pediatric cancer centre in Cairo Egypt and currently coordinating a collaborative Oncology Nursing program with the University of West Indies in Trinidad
Research Interest
Primary interests for education and research are in health system performance and capacity development in communities, specifically in relation to child health, immigrant health, equity, and the application of knowledge and research to practice. Dr Wahoush received two postdoctoral fellowship awards a Lawson Post Doctoral Fellowship Jan.-Jun 2008 and a CHSRF fellowship Jul 2008 – June 2010
